    Focal Neurologic Findings
    • Neurologic manifestations of HIV infection may have various causes (Table 2)
    • Space-occupying brain lesions in persons with AIDS may be caused by CNS lymphoma, CNS toxoplasmosis, and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy
    • Other causes of CNS mass lesions in HIV infection include tuberculomas, cryptococcomas, bacterial brain abscess, syphilis, and primary or metastatic brain tumors
