- Patients infected with HIV who develop MAC IRIS should continue ART and begin treatment for MAC (Table 17)[DHHS Adult OI; Bartlett 2007]
- Patients with mild to moderate IRIS symptoms may be given NSAIDs, whereas patients with severe IRIS symptoms may require treatment with a slow prednisone taper[DHHS Adult OI; Bartlett 2007]
