Summary
- Most children with TB develop pulmonary parenchymal disease and/or intrathoracic lymphadenopathy, although 25% to 35% may develop extrapulmonary disease[Cruz 2007; Ussery 1996]
- Disseminated (miliary) TB may be acute or subacute and is characterized by fevers and multiorgan involvement[Cruz 2007; Starke 2004]
