Non-typhoidal salmonella bacteraemia--an under-recognized feature of AIDS in African adults.

.

Non-typhoidal salmonella (NTS) infections are severe, invasive and recurrent in the HIV-infected adult, and NTS are the commonest cause of hospital admission with bacteraemia in sub-Saharan Africa.
