HIV-infected individuals are at an increased risk of developing several cancers, 3 of which are classified as AIDS-defining malignancies:

  • Kaposi’s sarcoma
  • High-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), including primary central nervous system lymphoma
  • Invasive cervical cancer
