Summary
- Invasive cervical cancer is more common in HIV-infected women[Frisch 2000; Clifford 2005; Serraino 2002] and is an AIDS-defining illness (Figure 12)
- HIV-infected women with invasive cervical cancer typically present earlier than women without HIV infection and have more advanced disease and a poorer prognosis (Management Guidelines)[WHO Reproductive Health Women HIV]
