- Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy
- IDP occurs in acute (AIDP) and chronic (CIDP) forms
- AIDP, also known as Guillain-Barré syndrome, occurs in early HIV and presents with rapidly ascending weakness and loss of deep tendon reflexes with relative sparing of sensation[Cornblath 1987]
- CIDP presents with chronically progressive, stepwise, or recurrent weakness and sensory dysfunction
