- Darunavir in combination with other antiretroviral agents is indicated for treatment of HIV infection; it must be coadministered with ritonavir or cobicistat as a boosted PI[FDA Darunavir]
- Darunavir is active against many PI-resistant HIV variants
- Darunavir is given orally at a dose of 600 mg with ritonavir 100 mg twice daily for treatment-experienced with darunavir-associated resistance or 800 mg with ritonavir 100 mg once daily for all other patients
