Summary
- DHHS guidelines recommend children with HIV older than 1 year of age should initiate ART with an NNRTI, PI, or INSTI plus 2 NRTIs (Management Guidelines)[DHHS Pediatric]
- Lopinavir/ritonavir plus 2 NRTIs or raltegravir plus 2 NRTIs is preferred for children aged 14 days to younger than 3 years of age
- Raltegravir, ritonavir-boosted atazanavir, or twice-daily ritonavir-boosted darunavir plus 2 NRTIs preferred for children aged 3 years to younger than 6 years of age
