Summary
- Cryptococcal IRIS commonly presents with CNS findings but can also present with pulmonary disease and/or lymphadenitis
- Presentation can be substantially delayed after ART initiation, reportedly up to 2 years[Lortholary 2005; Jenny-Avital 2002; Sungkanuparph 2007]
- INSHI has established consensus definitions for unmasking and paradoxical cryptococcal IRIS[Haddow 2010]
