  • The WHO recommends that all persons living with HIV be offered lifelong ART regardless of clinical stage or CD4+ cell count, with priority given to those with CD4+ cell counts ≤ 350 cells/mm3 and those with advanced HIV clinical disease (Management Guidelines)[WHO ART]
  • Regardless of CD4+ cell count or HIV clinical stage, ART is recommended for the following HIV-positive persons[WHO ART]:
    • Those with active TB disease
