Summary
- Ongoing care should include the following tests
- CD4+ cell count every 12 months if on stable ART with CD4+ cell count of 300-500 cells/mm3; optional if on stable ART with CD4+ cell count > 500 cells/mm3
- More frequent monitoring recommended in patients who experience virologic rebound, develop new clinical symptoms, or develop conditions that may compromise CD4+ cell count
- CD4+ cell count every 12 months if on stable ART with CD4+ cell count of 300-500 cells/mm3; optional if on stable ART with CD4+ cell count > 500 cells/mm3
