  • HBV reactivation involves loss of HBV immune control in a patient with an inactive or a resolved HBV infection. Viral replication increases and liver damage occurs during or after immune reconstitution[Feld 2010]
  • Reactivation of HBV can result in liver failure or death[Roche 2011]
